Her raunchy performances might not be to everyone's taste, but Taylor Momsen always finds a natural home in Paris with her burlesque-inspired act.
So it's lucky she was there, at the VIP Room on the Rue de Rivoli, when she threw herself into this lusty performance with a fan-turned-wannabe-dancer.
She stopped traffic in the French capital last year when she launched a fragrance by disgraced designer Galliano with a performance from a truck outside a popular restaurant.
Raunchy: Taylor Momsen performs a sexy dance with a female fan at the VIP Club in Paris on Friday night
But the St Louis girl won't find much admiration at home for such displays.
Gossip girl diva Momsen, 17 , who is forever associated in her native U.S. with precious debut as a child actor in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, has come under fire for her barely-there stage outfits and risqué stage routines.
Many believe she is too young, and too heavy an influence on her peers, to indulge in such x-rated displays.
Rapturous: The Paris crowd love Momsen but critics at home are unlikely to be impressed with the teenager
But as you'd expect from a young woman who calls her band Pretty Reckless, Momsen is less than apologetic.
She has refused to tone down her style for performances, which is defined by skimpy lingerie, stripper heels and heavy make-up - which often ages the pretty blonde.
Standstill: Parisians go crazy for Momsen's street show for Galliano last year, the actress turned singer performed from a truck outside Laperouse restaurant
She told website PopEater: '(My demeanour) does take over my music but that's also tabloids.
Teenager: Many believe 17-year-old Momsen is too young for such risqué performances
'That's their response to who I am.
'I don't have control over what people are going to write and it's always going to be part of it.
'But fashion, music, it all comes together, they're going to focus on my shoes and not my music, that's just what they do.'
However, focusing on her music is difficult, given that hearing the tracks is as a rare as the sight of the actress fully clothed, despite a deal with Interscope.
And Momsen's chart-placings reflect this lack of popularity.
Her first single, Make Me Wanna Die, peaked at Number 16 in the UK despite being accompanied by a video that was trailed by controversy after Momsen, then 16, asked to perform entirely naked.
The second single from the album Light Me Up, which hit a high at Number 6 in the UK in August, only reached Number 39 - Miss Nothing, also released in the UK in August, then limped out of the charts.
But the star of the hugely popular CW show, she plays Jenny Humphrey alongside Ed Westwick's Chuck Bass, claims she needs her music to express herself.
She also told PopEater: 'I love acting, it's been my life but you have to pretend to be someone else.'
Momsen, who has been suggested as a possible name for the Simon Cowell's US X Factor judging panel, continued: 'In music, I can be myself.'
Some might argue that the former face of Madonna's Material Girl brand, might also show off just a bit too much of herself.
But despite the critics, no-one can argue that this Paris show wasn't a success - mobile phone footage of it is fast becoming a sensation
So we're sure she's thankful for the Folies Bergere having kicked their legs high so she can sizzle in Paris, without apology.
